Sustainability
At Oakencroft Farm & Winery, sustainability is not a single practice or outcome—it’s an ongoing commitment that shapes how we make decisions across the farm, vineyard, and gathering spaces. It shows up in how we use energy and water, how we care for the land, and how we think about our role within a larger ecological and community system.
Our farm is solar-powered, supported by geothermal heating and cooling, and designed to make thoughtful use of natural resources through rainwater collection and low-impact infrastructure. These choices are part of a broader effort to reduce our footprint while remaining attentive to the long-term health of the land and the people connected to it.
This space is where we’ll reflect on that work as it evolves. You’ll find insights into sustainable systems, observations from ongoing projects, and moments of learning as we navigate what responsible stewardship looks like in practice. Rather than presenting fixed answers, this section is meant to share progress, questions, and lessons as we continue to learn—together and over time.
