Responsible Farming Practices At Oakencroft Farm & Winery, our approach to farming is guided by care for the land and a long view of what it means to live and work responsibly within it. We are continually learning how to restore natural habitats and make thoughtful use of the resources available to us. The farm is fully solar-powered, rainwater is collected for greywater use, and geothermal wells support heating and cooling across the property. These systems allow us to rely on the Earth’s renewable energy while reducing carbon emissions and avoiding unnecessary waste of water and energy. This space is where we’ll share what that work looks like as it unfolds. You’ll find reflections from the farm, evolving practices, and observations from the field as we continue to learn, often through trial, adjustment, and patience.
